FT Pharmacy Technician

Paramount Pharmacy Group, located in Piscataway, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our corporate office team. This position plays a key role in supporting pharmacy operations, assisting our pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries, processing transactions, and resolving concerns in a professional manner
Oversee inventory levels, perform regular stock audits, and use Microsoft Excel to track supplies and reorder medications as needed
Utilize Excel to create and maintain reports related to inventory, insurance claims, and other operational data. Analyze trends and assist in improving operational efficiency
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes
Maintain up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation, ensuring all transactions are logged properly
Handle insurance claims, track reimbursements, and resolve any related issues in a timely manner
Work closely with pharmacists, corporate team members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care
Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe and compliant pharmacy environment

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Proficiency in office software—particularly Microsoft Excel

Strong written and verbal communication abilities to interact with patients, team members, and corporate leadership
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations

Preferred

Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
Experience with Outcomes, Drug interactions, Billing Insurance, FTS and MTAs
