Responsibilities

Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance and reliability functions of the facility
Support the operations team to operate the facility as defined by the O&M contract obligations and detailed in the Plant's operating manual
Develop a strong understanding of all systems and their functions and interfaces
Investigate mechanical problems, open technical cases, and interact with the various technical and product support teams
Maintain a strong QHSE culture at assigned sites, including performing frequent quality and safety audits of work
Provides technical and operational solutions to correct deficiencies
Performs equipment inspections, testing, and operational checks
Prepare equipment, parts and tooling for upcoming maintenance activities
Maintain electronic facility logbook, highlighting activities and important events
Communicates regularly with the INNIO Staff Manager for exchange, consultation, guidance, and required approvals
Maintains good relations with suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, and contractors
This role supports the operation team with site’s coverage during vacations or absences, during holydays, weekends and night shift when needed
Maintain site and equipment to manufacturer boundary conditions and cleanliness

Required

2+ years of Experience in service and maintenance of engines and its components in auto tech or power generation industry (ie Combustion, Fuel Systems, Lubrication Systems, Cooling Systems, etc
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime
Experience in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of gas engines
Strong analytical skills to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
Technical training and certifications in gas engine maintenance and power plant
experience with all aspects of site management
Demonstrate adaptability and resourcefulness in handling unexpected challenges and evolving operational requirements in a dynamic power plant environment
Achieve and maintain the proper field technician certifications
Degree in a technical field
Willingness to travel to Japan and work at our Yokota power plant for a min. of 6 weeks, if possible longer
Fluency in English
