NEOGOV is seeking a Seasonal Winter Laborer to ensure the safety and accessibility of public or private roads and walkways during inclement weather. The role involves operating snowplows and performing maintenance tasks to respond to snow and ice events as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, and other winter maintenance equipment
Shovel snow and apply salt or sand to sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and entryways
Respond to snow and ice events as needed, including during nights, weekends, and holidays
Perform routine maintenance on vehicle and equipment
Assist with general groundskeeping and facility maintenance as assigned
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work assignments and conditions

Qualification

Snow removal equipment operationPublic works knowledgeOralWritten instruction followingSafety compliance

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License required
Physical ability and fitness to be able to perform the duties of the position

Preferred

CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred or may be required depending on equipment used
Experience operating snow removal equipment is preferred
