Responsibilities
Inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining specialized emergency services equipment
Maintenance and repair of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), high pressure air compressors, hydraulic rescue tools, personal protective equipment (PPE); and the installation and maintenance of specialized fire equipment on fire apparatus
Qualification
Required
One (1) year of experience inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining specialized emergency services equipment
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license at the time of appointment
A valid California Class B Commercial Driver's license within the six-month probationary period (if required)
First Responder Maintenance and Repair Respiratory Protection Equipment Certificate within the six-month probationary period (if required)
Care and Maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment Certificate within the six-month probationary period (if required)
Maintenance and Repair of Rescue Equipment Certificate within the six-month probationary period (if required)
