Special Programs Coordinator
NEOGOV is seeking a Special Programs Coordinator for the Health Department. This role involves coordinating public health accreditation efforts, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and managing special projects to enhance departmental efficiency and outcomes.

Responsibilities
Leads and manages all activities related to the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) accreditation process, including documentation, cross-divisional coordination, and maintenance of required standards
Maintains strong internal documentation systems for accreditation and operational accountability
Coordinates the department’s quality improvement and performance management activities, including metrics tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
Supports the alignment and integration of programs and services across divisions to improve efficiency and outcomes
Oversees assigned strategic initiatives and special projects as directed by the Director
Prepares reports, presentations, and internal communications to assist leadership in operational decision-making
Collaborates with division managers and staff to ensure progress on departmental goals and priorities
Focuses on methods of continuously improving special operations and other technical response team performance
Assists with quality improvement activities as needed
Serves as an educational resource for county health employees and assists with staff professional development
Keeps current with trends in industry, research, and new technologies for all hazards response
Updates the standard operating procedures in coordination with other team members
Provides project tracking, milestone management, and reporting for department-wide initiatives
Oversees training, and evaluation of technology and equipment needs
Develops methods for system data collection and analysis
Identifies areas requiring improvement using standard Quality Improvement techniques
Shares Quality Improvement data, analyses, and process improvement strategies with all staff

Qualification
Required
Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration, or a related field
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in public health, program management, or administration
Valid Texas Class C driver's license
ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 within 30 days of employment
HIPPA, Privacy, and Security within 30 days of employment
Other trainings as assigned to be completed within 60 days of notice
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration, or a related field
Experience with accreditation, quality improvement, or performance management strongly preferred
Project management certification preferred but not required
