Parts Forecast Analyst

Responsibilities
Analyze historical consumption data to identify trends and develop accurate forecasts that support inventory planning and procurement strategies
Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to project future material or part requirements, ensuring alignment with operational goals and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory
Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models based on demand signals, seasonality, and evolving business needs
Conduct usage analysis, economic studies, and market feedback to improve global market pricing and inventory strategies within the Liebherr Mining Organization
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production planning, manufacturing, Product Support, Marketing, Sales, and Purchasing to optimize parts planning and inventory management processes
Evaluate and plan inventory levels based on sales forecasts, historical usage, and current stock, including new stock and the Service Exchange Unit (SEU) program
Provide strategic recommendations for inventory optimization, including direct shipments, return goods management, and bulk purchase orders
Facilitate logistics coordination for return goods and inter-company transfers of parts and components
Compile and optimize Recommended/Initial Parts Lists for internal projects and affiliate operations
Prepare reports and conduct feasibility analyses for short- and long-term strategic initiatives aimed at improving organizational growth, efficiency, and profitability
Perform potential analysis reporting versus forecast to support data-driven decision-making
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
Knowledge of Customs regulations and procedures
Ability to apply concepts of basic math
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Travel to customer or supplier sites either nationally and internationally up to 10% of the time
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport
