Responsibilities
Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements and GD&T
Work with Engineers to communicate needs, manufacturability and timeline
Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications
Create and maintain programs using CAM software
Prepare raw materials needed to manufacture parts
Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly
Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise
Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED required
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Minimum 5+ years' experience programming Automated Fiber Placement Robot
Proficiency with CAM software for AFP, such as ACES
Proficiency with component design and assembly management using 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks, CREO, and Fusion 360
Familiarity with commonly used aerospace and commercial specifications for materials, processes, fasteners, mechanical components, etc
Clear understanding of G and M code
Knowledge of how-to setup and operate multi-axis robot with a high level of familiarity
Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications and drawings
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and adjust during the manufacturing process
Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain at your workstation throughout the day
Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
