Technical Sales Account Manager

Deutsche Beverage + Process is a leading manufacturer of custom brewery and sanitary liquid processing systems. They are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Technical Sales Account Manager to manage key customer accounts and deliver innovative liquid processing solutions across various industries.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, offering technical guidance throughout equipment selection and system design
Partner with engineering and production teams to develop customized processing solutions that meet customer requirements
Interpret RFQs, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specs to recommend the most effective configurations
Conduct on-site and virtual consultations with plant managers, engineers, and procurement teams
Develop and present detailed technical proposals, including system layouts, drawings, performance data, and cost estimates
Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, technical consultation, pricing, contract negotiation, order processing, and handoff to project management
Provide ongoing technical support to ensure solutions align with performance expectations and operational goals
Build long-term client relationships through trust, reliability, and a consultative approach
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and new sectors
Represent Deutsche at trade shows, site visits, and industry events
Track and manage sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions via CRM
Participate in cross-functional collaboration and product training to support continuous improvement

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering, particularly with industrial equipment or capital projects
Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs, RFQs, PFDs, and layout drawings
Strong technical understanding of fluid dynamics, CIP systems, pumps, tanks, and process equipment
Experience developing technical proposals and cost estimates for custom-engineered systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office; CAD or process modeling software experience is a plus
Willingness to travel (25–40%) for client visits, trade shows, and site consultations
