Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, the purpose of this position is to install, replace, remove and maintain traffic control signs in Jefferson Parish
Employee participates in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and replace Parish signs and markings including those required for Parish streets, parking lots, and other related infrastructure
Cleans work-sites, assembles, and disassembles barricades, warning devices, and signs to ensure a safe work environment
Open and closes streets as required for construction purposes and special events
Operates truck during the course of performing the installation of signs and striping within the Parish
Performs related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Possession of one (1) of the following educational requirements: Completion of high school
Possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Completion of Vocational/Trade School; not limited to short courses
Possession of a valid Class D Driver's license and acceptable driving record will be given preference
