This role involves installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting advanced test equipment in development vehicles, ensuring accurate test data and reliable vehicle performance.

Responsibilities
Install, modify, adjust, and calibrate test devices in development vehicles
Build and install low voltage wire harnesses to drawings and schematics
Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
Must have own tools with rolling toolbox
Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance/calling for repairs
Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience
Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, schematics, and shop manuals
Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples and pressure transducers
Knowledge of repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replacing parts and components
Must possess strong organizational skills
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Possess the skills to work in a team atmosphere & learn new task
Excellent communication & time management skills
Reliable attendance & be able to work overtime/weekends
Must possess strong attention to detail
Preferred
ASE/State certifications
Valid driver's license
Automotive audio experience
Experience performing soldering, crimping, tube bending, component layout and packaging on vehicles or subsystems
Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples and pressure transducers
