This full-time role involves performing manual labor tasks related to maintenance and construction work, which are essential for community health, safety, and comfort.

Responsibilities

Performs routine Standardized-skilled maintenance of traffic control signage and pavement markings, and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems
Provides service to internal and external customers
Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures
Utilizes asset software management software to track work orders and supplies
Sets up and removes temporary traffic control
Pulls wire for signals and fiber optic cable
Assembles and dismantles traffic signal equipment
Observes and reports on traffic conditions

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalency
Over one (1) year of traffic control experience, or street construction/maintenance experience, or closely related field
Valid Arizona Driver License
Must complete a pre-employment physical including audiogram and pass a 50-pound lift test
Complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
Obtain temporary traffic control certification within one year of hire
