Furniture Repair Technician

The primary function of the Repair Technician is to inspect, repair, and maintain furniture products, ensuring quality standards are met before shipping.

Responsibilities

Repair upholstery and case product

Inspect for flawed or damaged product

Work with Shipping personnel to replace damaged goods

Report potential QC issues

Determine final destination of all damaged products

Perform both Regular and White Glove Special Inspections

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

All other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 2-3 years of Repair Experience

Strong knowledge and competence on: Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair

Ability to identify various product types

Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance

Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center

Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions

Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90%

Sitting: 5%

Desk or phone work: 5%

Preferred

Strong knowledge and competence in Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair, and other furniture related repairs

General understanding of warehouse/distribution center operations

Ability to safely and effectively utilize a variety of hand tools to perform repairs on merchandise

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
