Emergency Services Technician/CNA

Responsibilities
Performs administrative. clerical duties in support of an assigned area
Required to perform telemetry monitoring
Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls, codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested
Enters nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse. Asks for clarification when necessary
Assists with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts
Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/ stocking supplies
Assists RNs and physicians with other patient activities as needed
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors
Reports changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Applicants must have a current North Carolina Certified Nursing Aide license
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Preferred
One year of experience preferred
