NEOGOV is seeking Occupational-Physical Therapists for Merced County's Department of Public Health. The role involves evaluating patients, providing therapy, and developing treatment plans for physically disabled children.

Responsibilities
Interviews patients and evaluates their physical condition
Provides a full range of occupational or physical therapy for neuromuscularly, orthopedically and physically disabled children that may require highly specialized skills and knowledge
Reviews clinical records, medical prescriptions and physician referrals to develop treatment plans
Observes patient reactions and notes changes; adopts and applies treatment procedures
Instructs aides, assistants, family members and patients in the proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, prosthetic appliances and devices; devises or adapts equipment as required
May consult with school staff, medical personnel and vendors for coordination of services
May be assigned to any California Children Services site in the County
May provide Targeted Case Management services and engage in outreach and other activities to enhance services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an approved college or university educational program for Occupational or Physical Therapy which meets the requirements for licensure as an Occupational or Physical Therapist in the State of California
Written acknowledgment from the State of California Occupational or Physical Therapy Examining Committee allowing the practice of Occupational or Physical Therapy under direct supervision of a California Licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist
Possession of a valid license as an Occupational or Physical Therapist issued by the State of California
One (1) full year of experience as a Professional Occupational or Physical Therapist
Possession of a valid license as an Occupational or Physical Therapist issued by the State of California
