Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments
Assist surgeons during procedures ranging from routine to high-risk and trauma cases
Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly in emergency situations
Maintain accurate surgical counts and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures
Support operating room setup, patient transport, and postoperative procedures
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a U.S. Armed Forces surgical technology training program
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA, TS-C from NCCT, or a recognized MOS certification in surgical/operating room technology
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Surgical or Operating Room Technician after graduation
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
