Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor of Psychology
The University of North Alabama is the state’s oldest public university and is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and academic research, particularly in clinical psychology, and will be responsible for teaching a range of psychology courses and mentoring students.

Responsibilities
Standard teaching load is twelve (12) credit hours per semester (traditional and online)
Additional duties will include academic advisement of students, advising and mentoring student organizations, and involvement with professional psychology organizations
Qualification
Required
PhD in Psychology from an accredited university (ABD will be considered)
Commitment to and a record of exemplary teaching at the undergraduate level
Demonstrated commitment to and a record of academic research with undergraduate students
Ability to teach multiple courses from the following areas: general psychology, abnormal psychology, physiological psychology, and clinical psychology
Experience in online teaching or a willingness to learn how to develop and teach online courses
Preferred
Background in clinical psychology
Ability to teach advanced courses in the candidate's area of expertise
