Property Liability Claims Supervisor
CIS is a nationally recognized leader in risk pooling and trust management, and they are seeking a Property Liability Claims Supervisor. In this role, you will lead and support claims operations, drive program excellence, and engage with members and stakeholders to ensure exceptional service and support in property and liability claims.

Responsibilities
Review incoming claims for coverage and assign to appropriate consultants
Monitor and audit case reserves and coverage decisions
Oversee external service providers and ensure quality standards are met
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to claims programs
Collaborate across departments to align claims strategies with organizational goals
Provide insights to leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities
Communicate effectively with members regarding claims processes and updates
Represent the organization at conferences and meetings
Handle a caseload of 30–50 complex litigation files (EPL, Jail, Law Enforcement)
Assist in developing and managing the annual operating budget
Support implementation of strategic initiatives
Provide data and reports to internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in property/liability claims handling and supervision
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to manage complex litigation files and collaborate with legal teams
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
Bachelor's degree
Property/Liability claims program supervision (preferably for public sector)
Supervisory skills
Public speaking skills
Insurance concepts
Basic computer skills
9-10 years or more experience
Five or more years of progressively responsible and directly related experience in property/liability, insurance, human resources, municipal administration, association services, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of Property/Liability claims programs supervision
Working knowledge of federal and state laws and rules that apply to Property/Liability claims programs
Ability to apply interpersonal skills and effective communication techniques needed to build and maintain effective relationships with the staff, customers, service providers and other partners
Supervisory skills necessary to effectively supervise Property/Liability staff
Ability to effectively manage time
Ability to use a computer and related software
Ability to travel an estimated 33% of your work time
Preferred
CPCU or ARM designation
