Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (Entry Level Position Avail.)

Behavioral Concepts is a company focused on improving the lives of individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. They are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver direct 1:1 services to children with special needs, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis strategies and working closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

Deliver direct 1:1 services in the home or community to help increase skills, create learning opportunities, and decrease maladaptive behaviors
Follow behavior intervention plan to better understand a client’s needs and goals
Work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Collect accurate data during session, and take detailed session notes once session has been completed

Required

Must have either a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to commute to clients in the Santa Barbara County area (remote positions not available)
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Must be available a minimum of 3 days a week, 8 hours per day
Must be able to use a tablet to collect data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attentive and patient
Creativity and problem solving
Collaboration and teamwork

Preferred

Be in enrolled in a College/University studying psychology, education, or special education or pursuing a degree in a related field
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Experience working with children with special needs is not required, but preferred
