Responsibilities
Provide legal assistance to the court in connection with prisoner litigation, including 1983 civil rights claims and state/federal habeas petitions
Produce exceptional work under demanding time constraints
Interact with the Judges, law clerks, and other staff concerning legal and court-related issues
Qualification
Required
Law school graduate at the time of appointment
Excellent research and writing skills
U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to work in-person at a courthouse in any division or remotely if living outside the district
Capability of producing exceptional work under demanding time constraints
Preferred
Experience in prisoner litigation, including 1983 civil rights claims and state/federal habeas petitions
