Responsibilities
Survey building, structures etc. to determine what tasks are to be performed and decipher art from graffiti
Use chemical solvents to remove the graffiti as necessary
Stir and ensure proper consistency of graffiti remover solution
Power wash buildings structures, viaducts, traffic signs and other city own property to remove graffiti
Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment on and off trucks in a proper and safe manner
Operate specialized vehicles and equipment
Trim bushes and remove debris to access hard to reach areas on buildings, structures, etc
Apply shadow remover product to remove shadowed graffiti that wasn’t originally removed
Perform custodial duties that includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, sealing cleaning floors, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, kitchens and cafeterias
Qualification
Required
High School graduation or G.E.D. (General Education Development)
Valid State of Michigan Operator License
Preferred
One (1) year of experience in the removal of graffiti
Aerial Platform Work Permit

CURRENT SICK LEAVE – Granted (3) months of continuous service. (1) day per month, not to exceed (12) days per year.
VACATION – Granted (1) day per pay period, not to exceed 20 days per fiscal year
PAID HOLIDAYS – Granted if paid for 600 straight time hours in the (12) months prior to the holiday
MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT - Granted on same basis as regular employees.
