Responsibilities
Receives and records all incoming calls and dispatches police/fire department vehicles and personnel as required
Monitors police/fire vehicles as to time and locations
Receives and relays messages, types forms and post general information sheet items
Makes periodic test reading of communications circuits
Maintains all FCIC and NCIC training requirements and records
Performs other related duties as directed

Qualification
Required
Possess thorough knowledge of dispatching principles and procedures
Considerable knowledge of City boundaries, public facilities, and fire districts
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Possess a Florida Operator license
High School Diploma or Florida approved GED
Required Certification – 911 Safety Telecommunicator Certification within one year of hire
