Responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, testing, repairing, and upgrading wireless systems, including rooftop macro sites, pole mounts, small cells, and distributed antenna systems (indoor and outdoor)
Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings to determine optimal cable and equipment routes
Installing and labeling coax cables, antennas, racks, and remote units in compliance with industry standards
Performing cable sweeps, spectrum analysis, and return/insertion loss testing; conducting PIM testing and implementing mitigation measures
Splicing and testing fiber using OTDRs, fusion splicers, and other diagnostic equipment to ensure quality and reliability
Operating lifts and bucket trucks safely to perform work at height
Supporting engineers and project managers with field data, equipment setup, and site readiness
Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and carrier compliance standards
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings
Hands-on experience with coax/fiber installation, termination, and labeling
Competency with hand and power tools, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, and splicing equipment
Demonstrated ability to work at heights, including rooftops and towers
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year of field installation experience
Preferred
Knowledge of telecom carrier standards, equipment testing, and splicing techniques preferred
Prior wireless industry experience preferred
