Emergency Room Technician - ECC - Full Time - Mid Shift

The Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) is responsible for assisting licensed nursing staff in providing care to patients in the Emergency Care Center, including EKG monitoring under the direction of the Medical Staff.

Providing EKG monitoring for the Emergency Care Center

Qualification

Certified Nursing AssistantCertified Medical AssistantEmergency Medical TechnicianBasic Life SupportCompetencyComputer skills

Required

High School graduate or GED required; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered
Any one of the following: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Health (CNA); or Certified Medical Assistant; or Certified or Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); or Licensed Paramedic; or Completion of U.S. Military Hospital Corpsman training
Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association also required
Computer skills
Successful completion of an EKG competency assessment test

Preferred

One year hospital or pre-hospital experience preferred
