Responsibilities
Perform complex installations, repairs, and maintenance on various types of chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and develop effective solutions
Lead and supervise a team of junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to optimize chiller performance and extend equipment life
Troubleshoot and resolve complex chiller system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and control problems
Perform start-up and commissioning of new chiller installations
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
Collaborate with other departments to improve overall HVAC system efficiency and effectiveness
Stay up-to-date with the latest chiller technologies, industry trends, and best practices
Provide expert technical advice and recommendations to clients and internal teams
Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock for maintenance and repairs
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service requests
Assist in developing and implementing energy-saving strategies for chiller systems
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for the technical team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in HVAC service, specifically with chiller systems
Subject matter expert in chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers
Supervisory experience leading a team of technicians
Ability to perform complex installations, repairs, and maintenance on various types of chillers
Experience conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues
Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex chiller system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and control problems
Experience performing start-up and commissioning of new chiller installations
Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
Ability to collaborate with other departments to improve HVAC system efficiency
