In this role, you will ensure access to clean water and effective wastewater management through maintenance and repair of water meters, mains, and service lines while providing excellent customer service to the community.

Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and replace water meters to ensure proper operation
Maintain water distribution and wastewater collection systems, including hydrants, main lines, and sewer lines
Conduct sewer line inspections, maintenance, and repairs; lay new water and sewer lines as required
Operate pneumatic and hand tools; light equipment and trucks; and heavy equipment, including motor graders and heavy wheel front-end loaders during snow plowing and removal operations
Perform pumping station maintenance
Locate and mark water and sewer lines
Respond promptly to emergency callouts and repair needs
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
One year of experience performing maintenance work
Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL and relevant certification within six months of hire, and Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection certifications within one year
Knowledge of general construction, maintenance, and repair related to water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
