Penske Logistics is a leader in vehicle maintenance, and they are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician I. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they remain safe and operational for customers.

Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers

Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner

Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc

Keeping your work area clean and safe

Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics

Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training

Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Required

Experience as a truck and trailer technician

Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on vehicles

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Experience in repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials

Ability to keep work area clean and safe

Familiarity with using tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs

Willingness to learn new skills through training

Ability to work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
