Responsibilities

Conduct basic and common testing techniques with proficiency, and within appropriate protocol for machine and customer specifications

Accurately determine test results, which can include pass/fail or material composition for research purposes

Utilize a variety of testing and analysis software

Prepare reports with test results by completing appropriate template

Perform failure testing on occasion as requested by customers

Perform ongoing general machine maintenance, and alert management of any machine repair needs that cannot be performed internally

Perform pre- and post-test measurements on specimens

Perform other duties as needed

Incumbent must sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak English

Incumbent must be able to use tools including microscopes, saws, test frames, and basic hand tools

Position requires incumbent to wear personal protective equipment including gloves and safety glasses
