Performs maintenance and repairs on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
Conducting preventive maintenance

Maintaining the shop, upkeep on maintenance facility, tools, and equipment

Required

High school graduate with vocational/technical school training in automotive/diesel repair
Five (5) years of experience as a mechanic
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
Must be physically able to operate a truck, welding machine, drill press, backhoe, wrecker, mechanical, carpentry, welding, and machine tools, mops and brooms, sand blaster and automotive test equipment
Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to one hundred pounds
