Responsibilities

Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures

Qualification

Diagnostic Medical SonographyARRT/DMS certificationBLS certificationCritical thinking skillsEffective communication

Required

Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required

Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification; BLS required within 30 days of hire

Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred

One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred
