Clinical Placement & Testing Coordinator
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is seeking to hire a Clinical Placement and Testing Coordinator. This role is responsible for negotiating and arranging clinical experiences for nursing students, maintaining relationships with healthcare agencies, and supporting at-risk students throughout their educational journey.

Responsibilities
Collaborates and consults with nursing faculty to determine the ideal educational requirements for clinical placements and experiences
Works with appropriate healthcare organizations to ensure we meet the identified clinical education needs of students
Procures and maintains clinical placement sites for preceptorships and externships
Collaborates with clinical placement staff at healthcare organizations to ensure UMFK students receive the required educational experiences during clinical rotations
Maintains a database of adjunct clinical and laboratory faculty, clinical placement sites, and rotations
Conducts evaluations of clinical placement sites
Maintains a student clinical file for each clinical student to include clinical logs and evaluations
Coordinates annual clinical partner meeting and attends other required meetings at clinical agencies
Collaborates with nursing faculty members and TRIO staff to identify nursing students at-risk
Provides remediation for at-risk students
Monitors progress of nursing students, including progress toward clinical learning goals
Manages student records, including the monitoring of student immunization status, CPR certification, background checks, and clinical clearance records
May require 1 to 2 credit hours of laboratory or clinical instruction per semester
Coordinates testing schedule and proctors examinations
Develops and reviews an individual student testing success plan with at-risk students
Manages student records
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in nursing
RN licensure in the state of Maine, or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Maine
Ability to work effectively with staff from healthcare organizations
Ability to work as a registered nurse (RN) in area healthcare organizations
Supervisory experience
Attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience in promoting student success and working with at-risk students
