Temporary Test Proctor, DCF

The Temporary Test Proctor will assist in the delivery of competency tests for child care workers, manage test administration, and ensure proper identification and registration of students.

Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of various testing programs
Scan, score and electronically submit test scores
Research and address problems, including misplaced tests and re−testing under the direction of the Coordinator
Set up tests according to established protocol
Monitors the administration of various tests
Register students and qualify them with the proper identification
Set up and organize files and manuals; count and alphabetize records; keep files up−to−date; distribute, as needed
Gather routine oral information from (or make oral requests of) other administrative, maintenance or clerical employees and/or outside vendors, customers, or the public
Receive, make or transfer telephone calls
Input and edit standard text for routine correspondence and reports
Respond to routine correspondence under own signature or draft response for supervisor’s review on more complex correspondence. Follow up on items delegated by supervisors to others
Participate in various meetings and/or committees, which may include faculty and/or staff, as needed
Travel to meetings, between College locations, or for other purposes. Does not include commuting between work and home
Administer tests to students and process related materials
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or two years of college coursework
Minimum of one year related experience
Knowledge of testing/academic assessment techniques
Good verbal and written communication
Good internal and external customer service
Lift object weighing up to 20 pounds
Carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Standing up for one hour at a time
Standing up for two hours at a time
Stooping and bending
Ability to reach and grasp objects
Manual dexterity or fine motor skills
Color vision − the ability to identify and distinguish
Ability to communicate orally
Ability to hear
Pushing or pulling carts or other such objects
Proofreading and checking documents for accuracy
Using a keyboard to enter and transform words or data
Using a video display terminal
Working in a normal office environment with few physical discomforts
