Responsibilities

Conduct preventive, predictive, and repair maintenance on Biomedical and related equipment

Perform installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of biomedical equipment

Maintain equipment inventory records and parts

Mentor BMET 1 technicians and teach basic skills

Troubleshoot and repair medical equipment independently, especially when on call

Required

Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)

Driver's License - Secretary of State (SOS)

Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)

Associate's Degree: Related Field

Experience In Lieu of Education

Good oral and written communication and customer service skills

Comprehensive understanding of common clinical terminology as well as that of life sciences such as anatomy and physiology

Ability to solve service line customer service problems

Ability to troubleshoot and repair medical equipment independently, especially when on call

Comprehensive experience in their assigned clinical environment

Familiarity with the operations and environment utilized to support hospital, clinic, etc
