Responsibilities

Assist in the assessment of patients nutritional needs under the supervision of a registered dietitian

Develop and implement meal plans, ensuring they align with medical and nutritional guidelines

Educate patients, clients, and their families about proper nutrition and dietary habits

Monitor patients' food intake, tolerance, and dietary progress, and report findings to the dietitian

Work with food service teams to ensure meals meet prescribed dietary requirements

Maintain accurate and organized records of nutritional assessments and meal plans

Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutrition awareness

Required

Associates degree in Dietetic Technology, Nutrition, or a related field

Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary principles

Preferred

Current Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential preferred or eligibility to obtain certification

Proficiency in using electronic health records and nutritional software is a plus

Registered Dietitian preferred
