Help Desk Support Technician - Bisbee
NEOGOV is seeking a Help Desk Support Technician in Bisbee, AZ. The role involves managing the CCIT Help Desk as the first level of technology support for County employees, performing basic troubleshooting, and coordinating help desk activities.

Responsibilities
Provides basic first tier phone support for hardware, peripherals, and network access
Provides basic support for office productivity applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, e-mail, and other software as assigned
Performs basic troubleshooting and assists users through simple procedures
Monitors voice mail, e-mail, messages, and related information for support inquiries
Coordinates and maintains a log of request activities of the Help Desk and assigns trouble-tickets/change-requests to the appropriate technician, administrator or engineer
Verifies requests are completed to the customers satisfaction
Ability to prioritize service requests according to importance, i.e., emergency, immediate, high priority, moderate, general or suggestion
Provides basic administration of computer accounts and passwords
In conjunction with the Desktop Support Manger coordinate the help desk technicians work schedule to include scheduling field work to ensure the help desk as appropriate coverage during office hours
Qualification
Required
An Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Electronics or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education
Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years' experience in a customer service or IT support role
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and the ability to be covered by county insurance
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Knowledge of remote support techniques
Knowledge of Active Directory User/Group Management
Knowledge of capabilities, operation, and maintenance of microcomputers in a networked environment
Knowledge of peripherals, voice, and data telecommunications equipment
Knowledge of techniques for setting up and testing microcomputer systems
Skill in tracking and technical documentation
Skill in customer-oriented service techniques
Skill in handling high volume telephone and email inquiries
Skill in training methods and procedures
Skill in identifying and resolving problems with computer software and hardware
Skill in operating microcomputers and related peripheral equipment
Skill in remote support of microcomputer, telecommunications, and peripheral equipment
Ability to problem solve
Ability to plan and manage time
Ability to use logic, experience and knowledge to evaluate situations and determine the appropriate course of action
Ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service
Ability to establish and maintain an exceptional working relationship with employees, other agencies and the public
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
