Responsibilities

Adjusts, tests, services, maintains and installs radio transmitters, receivers and other communications equipment in vehicles and permanent locations; designs, constructs, modifies and repairs radio equipment; and performs other related duties as required

Required

At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Equivalent to graduation from high school and successful completion of a two-year program in electronics technology from an accredited community college or technical school
Three (3) years of technical work experience involving the installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of radio communications or related equipment
Possession of a valid driver's license (Type 3), prior to appointment

Preferred

Possession of a valid Federal Communications Commission General Radiotelephone Operator License is desirable
