AI Operations Lead

Responsibilities
Prototype and ship AI-powered workflows and internal tools (agents, copilots, automations) that improve speed, accuracy, and customer/employee experience
Automate repetitive processes across functions (e.g., campaign ops & enrichment, ticket triage/deflection, vendor onboarding, AP/AR, reporting)
Integrate systems using APIs, webhooks, events, and lightweight services; connect data sources to LLMs safely and efficiently
Run rapid experiments: design value hypotheses, define success metrics, build MVPs, and iterate based on user feedback and telemetry
Harden and scale what works: add tests, observability, access controls, fallbacks/guardrails, and performance improvements; document and hand off
Create reusable components (prompts, tools, connectors, templates) and share playbooks that help other teams move faster
Collaborate cross-functionally with business owners, data/platform teams, and security to ship solutions that are compliant and supportable
Contribute to the CoE: participate in design reviews, pair on tricky problems, and help evolve standards for reliability, cost, and responsible AI
Qualification
Required
2–5+ years in software engineering, automation, or internal tools
A builder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, iteration, and learning new systems/tools
Hands-on fluency in one or more of: Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; SQL; REST/gRPC; event/webhook patterns; git
Experience with AI delivery: prompt design, agent orchestration, retrieval/RAG, guardrails, and data privacy
Experience connecting common business systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk, Workday, Notion) into cohesive workflows
Strong collaborator skill set: someone who can translate business needs into technical plans and explain trade-offs clearly
Preferred
Orchestration/agents: LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel
Automation/workflow: Zapier, Workato, n8n, UiPath, ServiceNow Flow
LLMOps/evals: MLflow, Weights & Biases, TruLens, Promptfoo
Data & vector stores: pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, dbt, Postgres/BigQuery
Internal tools: React, Next.js, Retool
Cloud familiarity: AWS, Azure, GCP
