The Facilities Technician will play a vital role in maintaining and operating a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility, ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building infrastructure, equipment, and systems
Collaborate with external contractors and service providers as needed
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs
Assist with the setup and take-down of equipment for special events or departmental needs
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in timely manner
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols

Required

Proven experience as a facilities technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required

Preferred

Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus
