Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Independently diagnose complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic methods
Repair, replace, or overhaul critical mechanical systems and equipment
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance
Lead minor mechanical installation projects, including equipment alignment
Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced mechanics
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and maintenance protocols
Accurately document maintenance/repairs and keep thorough records

Proficient with specialized tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic equipment
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment alignment
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Capable of reading complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or related fields
Ability to frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and maneuver in confined spaces
Regularly lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient for handling small components, precision tools, and complex equipment safely
Capable of working safely at elevated heights and on elevated platforms
Ability to perform duties in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), humidity, noise, vibrations, dust, fumes, and other industrial hazards
Comfortable using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety standards, such as hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, ear protection, and harnesses for fall protection
