Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education
Advise students
Work with students as well as P-6 schools and administrators
Perform university and community service initiatives
Maintain an active and involved leadership role in college and university committees as requested
Maintain involvement with research activities
Develop early childhood and/or elementary education curricula
Mentor students
Participate in scholarly activities
Support the department's current accreditation processes

Required

Earned doctorate in Elementary Education or a closely-related field from an accredited university is required (ABD will be considered). A closely-related field in education (i.e. curriculum and instruction) will be considered if the applicant possesses a minimum of 30 graduate hours in Elementary Education
Eligibility to possess teaching credentials in Elementary Education is required
Minimum of three years of recent, successful P-6 experience is required
Experience in and/or the ability to deliver online instruction is required

Preferred

Teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred
Interest in or experience directing student research is preferred
Experience in supervision of interns in the P-12 setting is preferred
