Elections Equipment Technician

Printelect is a well-established regional election equipment sales and service company with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. They are seeking Elections Equipment Technicians to provide technical support, maintenance services, and training for election voting equipment used by municipal and state government customers.

Responsibilities

Provide our municipal and state government customers with technical hardware and software support services required to operate and maintain elections voting equipment
Travel to our customers and provide on-demand and preventive maintenance services for elections voting equipment
Develop an understanding of all hardware and software systems utilized by our elections equipment manufacturer
Communicate and cross-train with internal teams to facilitate accurate election preparation and good customer service
Participate in on-site customer training for elections equipment

Required

Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent vocational experience in a technology-based support field for Level One (entry-level) position
Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent vocational experience in a technology-based support field for Level Two (senior-level) position
Basic (entry-level) or advanced (senior-level) aptitude with electrical and mechanical technology maintenance and support services
Experience working in collaborative team-based environments
Experience with recording, documenting, and reporting in ticket-based or order-based software systems
Ability to work discreetly and adhere to strict security and confidentiality requirements
Must be able to stand, sit, or bend for extended periods of time throughout the workday
Must be able to lift and/or move up to eighty (80) pounds regularly throughout the workday
Must be able to operate a non-commercial (“standard”) motor vehicle for this position's travel responsibilities
Must be able to occasionally handle a commercial vehicle (i.e. panel truck) as special projects demand

Preferred

Excellent interpersonal skills with end-users, customers, and co-workers
Focused work ethic with precise attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to master and convey the mechanics of how our customer's voting elections equipment functions from a hardware and software standpoint
Ability to multitask and prioritize this position's various initiatives and responsibilities during high-volume workloads
Any prior IT work experience with computer hardware troubleshooting, workstation software troubleshooting, and file server maintenance is highly desired
Any prior experience with converting internal documentation processes and procedures into actionable training materials and in-person trainings is highly desired
Any prior experience in the elections industry is a plus
