New Grad, Entry LevelDayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for their Clinical Pharmacy department. This role involves assisting in the process of obtaining medication history for patients, including collecting prescription and allergy information, and working under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Assists in the process of obtaining medication history for patients who will be admitted to the hospital
Focus on the accurate collection of prescription information, allergy information, patient and/or family/guardian interview, and documentation of those activities
Contact pharmacies, long-term care facilities, and prescribers as part of the complete collection of medication information
Work under the supervision of the pharmacist following established policy and procedures set forth by the hospital and pharmacy department
Adhere to safety practices to ensure quality care for patients and maintain competencies outlined in pharmacy department policies
Show familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices
Qualification
Required
HSD/GED is required
CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician - State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required
The technician adheres to safety practices to ensure quality care for patients
The technician maintains competencies outlined in pharmacy department policies
The technician shows familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices
