Responsibilities

Perform and participate in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical/surgical material to included linen, instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functional supply of materials; operate sterilization equipment

Prepare trays according to prescribed procedures; disassemble, clean, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper functioning

Coordinates ordering process, distribution of supplies and equipment; shipping and recovering functions, maintains inventory management processes; meets surgery center supply needs with prompt delivery; verifies working order and availability of equipment

Ensure accuracy of inventory; prepare and assist on cycle count certifications and annual inventory; ensure the efficiency of the restocking process

Retrieve, inspect and deliver incoming supplies and equipment

Addresses supply and ordering problems and issues; responds to special requests as needed to accommodate needs of surgical team
