As an Assembly Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical parts, performing quality checks, and maintaining safety standards while working with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment
Complete safety programs within JBT expectations (BBSO's, Near Misses, etc.) to include exceeding goals
Read and interpret basic blueprints for assembling machines to proper specifications
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets standards and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Perform all work following quality standards
Use in-house mechanical equipment such as forklift, overhead cranes, and hoists
Maintain work areas and equipment, tools and machines in a safe, neat and orderly condition
Clock in and out of job/rework/project/builds by use of E10
Operate bead blast/power wash/ paint booths
Perform all work following quality standards and established safety procedures
Travel on short notice as part of the apprenticeship program
Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines
Set up and adjust machines to equipment specifications
Keep training jacket updated daily with on-the-job training details and level signoffs
Perform all tasks with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations and company policies
After completion of apprenticeship program, team member will be transferred to the Field Service department
Qualification
Required
Great attendance is a requirement
High school diploma or equivalent required
Lift/carry 50-75 pounds
Work with mathematical concepts
Balance a quality level of maintenance while staying on a timeline
Work collaboratively within a small team environment
