Sheet Metal Technician

Responsibilities
Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components
Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials
Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Qualification
Required
Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures
Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings
Knowledge of fastening systems, procedures, and techniques
Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components
Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials
Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required
Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
Maintain customer oriented work habits
High school diploma or equivalent
Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred
Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not mandatory
Technician I: 0-2 years' experience working with sheet metal
Technician II: 2-5 years' experience as a sheet metal technician on aircraft
Technician III: 5+ years' experience as a sheet metal technician on aircraft
Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints
