Counselor Technician - Part Time - Weekend Days

ReDiscover is a non-profit community mental health center that has been transforming lives for over 50 years. They are seeking a Counselor Technician to monitor clients in a safe environment and facilitate structured activities in accordance with their treatment goals.

Responsibilities

Monitors clients in a safe environment, performing and documenting client safety rounds. This includes ADL monitoring and coaching (i.e. life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.)
Facilitates structured activities with clients in accordance with their goals and treatment plan
Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed
Maintains cleanliness of the program space
Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records

Required

Availability to work a Part-time schedule (16 hours per week) Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite

Preferred

Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders
