Instrumentation Technician
Applus+ IDIADA is a global partner to the automotive industry, supporting product development activities by providing design, engineering, testing, and homologation services. The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for installing and verifying sensors, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining instrumentation to ensure proper functionality during vehicle and component tests.

Responsibilities
Install and verify sensors and data acquisition as required for vehicle and component tests including accelerometers, potentiometers and pressure/force transducers
Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, soldering iron and multi-meter
Inspect, troubleshoot, fabricate and repair instrumentation to ensure they function and measure properly
Utilize Data Acquisition System (DAS) and instrumentation to install required sensors and successfully collect required data as outlined in the test plan
Install and extract crash test dummies from test vehicles
Assist in performing ATD qualification, both test setup and execution
Use defined procedures to disassemble, inspect, verify, and reassemble anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs)
Provide technical support to team members
Maintain safe working practices and environment always considering the safety of yourself and other employees
Repair sensors as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and weekends
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Possess a valid California driver's license
Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices
