Aircraft Maintenance Technician & Instructor
Total Aviation Staffing is connecting professionals with opportunities in the aviation industry. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician & Instructor will conduct maintenance on turboprop and light jet aircraft while also developing and delivering training programs for future technicians.

Responsibilities
Conduct meticulous maintenance and inspections on turboprop and light jet aircraft, including Piaggio and King Air models
Perform airworthiness releases and return aircraft to service in strict compliance with FAA regulations
Diagnose and repair systems, ensuring precision in documentation to meet FARs and manufacturer standards
Develop and deliver aircraft maintenance training programs through classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations
Craft and update lesson plans, manuals, and visual aids, promoting a culture of continuous improvement in maintenance courses
Evaluate trainee progress and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles, integrating emerging technologies into training content
Qualification
Required
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening
Ownership of necessary tools
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic
Strong communication skills in English, both written and technical
Physical ability for tasks involving standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Capability to work in varied environments including shop, ramp, and mobile services
Organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
Preferred
Experience with Piaggio or King Air maintenance
Background in instructional design, technical instruction, or adult education
Eagerness to adopt new technologies such as AI, predictive maintenance tools, and VR training platforms
