Responsibilities

Performs compliance inspections for duration of the permit including traffic control; issues permit extensions; and issues noncompliance notices
Issues permits by routing permit through review process with all stake holders; identifies all applicable fees and requirements for all routine permits
Reviews construction plans and approves routine traffic control plans
Assess site conditions and proposed future improvements; evaluates plans submitted for permits for any conflicts and establishes project specific permit conditions
Performs permit closeout and warranty by coordinating and performing final inspections; reviews submitted material and tests data for compliance; and issues closeout permit and closeout letters
Assist Operations and Maintenance with warranty inspections

Qualification

Right-of-Way permittingConstruction inspectionATSSA Traffic Control certificationACI Level I Field Technician

Required

Associates degree in a related field. (Additional relevant professional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.)
Over five years of experience in construction and inspection activities
ATSSA Traffic Control certification (required within one year of hire)
Valid Arizona Driver License
Must complete a pre-employment physical
Complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered

Preferred

Specific knowledge in Right-of-Way permitting and inspection
ACI Level I Field Technician
