Commercial Lines Account Manager
Responsibilities
Market new business, prepare client proposals and maintain underwriting and marketing information for each carrier
Meet regularly with your Producer team regarding new and existing client proposals/renewals information are accurate and current. Complete applications in coordination with Producer
Identifying exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverage levels and options
Initiate renewal policies for existing clients and discuss and create renewal strategy with producer, process renewals
Bind insurance coverage and prepare binders, certificates, policies, endorsements etc. Ensure that these items are promptly delivered to the client
Review policies for accuracy
Generate and process client invoices and follow up on outstanding payments as needed
Respond promptly to clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative issues
Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals for clients and prospects as needed
Attend prospect and client meetings with Producer to support relationship-building and account strategy
Review audits of policies; verifying accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections
Maintain a suspense system to track and follow up on any outstanding items, correspondence, and reports
Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines and compliance standards
Keep electronic files organized, current and audit ready
Support special projects as assigned by management
Cross train with other Account Managers in CL Department to gain familiarity with additional accounts in order to back each other up
Qualification
Required
Active PA P&C License required
5+ years of Commercial Lines Experience handling complex accounts
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, database management, and ability to navigate and utilize agency software
Preferred
Professional Designations (e.g. CIC, CISR) a Plus
