The Automation Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining computer-controlled systems and robotic devices to enhance efficiency within industrial facilities.

Responsibilities
Perform automation demand maintenance
Trouble shoot equipment issues electrical, mechanical & controls
Answer technical question for production
Monitor Preventative Maintenance schedule in ALS
Perform PM’s and record data into ALS
Adjust sensors on automation equipment and molds
Program Star Automation, Yushin & Arburg mold picking robots
Source and place requisitions for spare parts
Resolve part quality issues that are caused by automation
Provide support / data gather for quality validations
Participate in concepts for process improvement
Mechanical & Electrical builds of automation equipment
Qualification
Required
Associates/Trade School or equivalent work experience
PLC logic troubleshooting
HMI logic troubleshooting
Basic Microsoft Office Skills
Robot Programming
Understanding of Injection Molding Machines
Able to work with multiple departments
Able to multitask
Strong mechanical & electrical skills
Able to understand/ read Schematic & Mechanical drawing
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Able to stand for periods of time and climb short ladder
20/20 vision to monitor automation processes and make fine adjustments
Preferred
Relevant Training & certification preferred
CAD experience beneficial
Ability to Commute: Rochester, NY 14615 (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate: Rochester, NY 14615: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
